Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to support families and individuals who are bereaved by suicide. You will have a sound understanding of the practical and emotional support required by those affected and the ability to respond effectively to each client’s unique circumstances.
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or Psychology
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Experience in working with families and individuals affected by suicide (desirable)
What can you expect to be doing?
- Provide support, connection and referral to appropriate support services
- Coordinate and attend home visits to provide clients with sensitive support
- Develop goals with individuals and families and monitor their progression
- Work collaboratively with staff in other AnglicareSA programs to ensure high quality services are provided to clients
- Actively monitoring service performance, finding opportunities for improvement
