The Position:
We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic people to join our Mental Health and Disability Support Services team to provide support to customers in either a group setting and through Individualised Services across the metropolitan area. Promote community inclusion for each individual within the service, respecting their choice and decisions.
Utilise your experience working with young people and/or adults who have a complex mental illness or disability and their families and carers, to assist them to implement strategies to reach their goals and aspirations both within their NDIS plan or Individual Support Plan. Build relationships with the team, students, volunteers, and also develop positive relationships with all involved in the care of the individual. Involve family members in the planning and review of services as guided by the wishes of the persons living with a mental illness or disability. Work within the values of the organisation and utilising principles of the Recovery based practice within the mental health environment.

Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support (Mental Health or Disability) or relevant level certificate.
- Experience working in mental health or disability services - with the capacity to work creatively with customers and their families and carers.
- Sound knowledge of Child Safe Environments and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster and out of hours
- A current Australian driver’s licence and roadworthy vehicle
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Office, in particular proficient in Word and Excel.
- Familiar with iPad and Tablet use
