Who are we looking for?
AnglicareSA has an opportunity for a permanent part-time Legal Counsel to join its Legal team. Flexible work hours across 3 to 4 days per week can be arranged to accommodate the needs of the individual. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic lawyer who has excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. The successful candidate will possess high level communication skills and the willingness to juggle competing priorities.
Based at our Western Hub in Hindmarsh, this position will support the Senior Legal Counsel in performing a wide range of in-house functions to various areas including privacy, commercial, industrial, workers compensation and industrial law.

What do you need to bring?

Tertiary qualification in law, and admission to the Supreme Court of South Australia

Current Practising Certificate with 3+ years PAE in a similar in-house role or law firm

Experience in a not-for-profit organisation will be highly considered

A combination of experience in both private practice and in-house (desirable)

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines

Sound computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
What can you expect to be doing?

Support the Senior Legal Counsel on key projects and provide legal input as required

Research and draft legal reports, briefings and advice

Work on multiple projects at once

Monitor legislative change and prepare internal briefings

Review and draft legal documents, contracts, reports and letters

Undertake research and

Be the organisations appointed privacy officer
