Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an individual with a warm and understanding personality to assist older people living the community. No job will be too hard or too basic for you – whether it is personal care, transport, domestic assistance, or social support, you will always be eager to lend a helping hand. Your focus will be on customers’ strengths, promoting their independence and encouraging their engagement in the community!
What do you need to bring?
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Certificate III in Home and Community Care or Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care)
- A sound knowledge of the physical, emotional and social needs of older people living in the community
- Enthusiasm for providing quality care, where your customer is key in all your decisions and actions
- A willingness to go above and beyond to provide individualised care that empowers independence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build relationships with your customers
What can you expect to be doing?
- Assist older people to remain living at home by optimising their independence
- Support our customers to stay connected to the people and activities that matter to them
- Travel across the Northern suburbs of Adelaide providing services that help support older members of the public remain living independently and in their own home
- Provide a range of support services such as social support, personal care, domestic services, transport and shopping.
- Maintain excellent communication with colleagues in regards to customer’s health, wellbeing and services in place
